TED Ed, Periodic Videos: A lesson about every single element on the periodic table
TED Talks has branched out to TED Ed Videos and one of their projects is a video exploration of every element on the Periodic Table. These videos can be used to make more detailed fact sheets, so if you feel something is missing it seems that you can start with their work and elaborate on it. Instructions are on their site. After watching the video on strontium, the piece seems an odd mix of information and history, without failing to mention, despite the somewhat hokey anecdotes, that once inside the body strontium 90 was a serious health danger. It is obviously meant to be introductory but it’s not a bad place to start for the curious, especially because it seems they are openly suggesting people do more with it.
